Enbridge Gaz supports renovation projects for its smaller commercial customers by offering prescriptive assistance to replace windows and add insulation in walls and roofs. Eligible customers must consume less than 50,000 m³ of gas annually. If you use more than 50,000 m³ of gas annually, check out the Support for Initiatives program.

Renovation work on building walls and roofs must surpass standards under the Model national energy code of Canada for buildings – 1997 (MNECB) PubTeX output 1997.08.15:1259 (publications.gc.ca).
How to participate?

Consult the participant’s guide for the efficient renovation program
To obtain financial assistance under this initiative, certain eligibility criteria must be met. Be sure to familiarize yourself with these before preparing a pre-admission application.

Send us your pre-admission application
To obtain the financial assistance provided by Enbridge Gaz, you will need approval of your pre-admission application prior to doing your renovations.

Wait for Enbridge Gaz’s approval
Enbridge Gaz will confirm receipt of the pre-admission application within 10 business days. Enbridge Gaz will process those applications on a first come first served basis and depending on the availability of funds.

Submit your request for participation
You must submit the following documents, in electronic format:
- The invoices for the purchase and installation of materials (the invoice must identify the number of square metres renovated)
- The documentation confirming compliance with the minimum requirements for the renovation project
- Photos of the renovations.
The invoices must have been issued after the approval of your pre-admission application.
Enbridge Gaz may ask for additional documents while reviewing your request.

Wait for Enbridge Gaz’s decision on financial assistance
Enbridge Gaz will review the request for participation before issuing the financial assistance.
The applicant will be informed in writing as to whether the request for financial assistance has been approved or turned down, and of the amount granted if approved. Payment will be made by cheque mailed to the address indicated in the request for participation.
