ACCOUNT NUMBER
Your account number is made up of 20 digits. The first 10 digits represent your customer number and the last 10 digits are your account number.

The address to which natural gas is delivered.
CONSUMPTION HISTORY
Your Enbridge Gaz bill shows your usage pattern over the last twelve months. The amount shows the total cost of natural gas billed for that period including tax and excluding natural gas natural gas related service charges.

This section provides information about news items relating to the management of your account and various services we offer.
CALCULATING YOUR CONSUMPTION
This section indicates your natural gas consumption adjusted for the period in question.

– The calorific value is the quantity of heat contained in one cubic meter of natural gas.

– For billing purposes, the distributor adjusts the volume to a calorific value of 37.89MJ/m3. For billing purposes, the distributor adjusts the volumes to compensate for meters that do not correct for atmospheric pressure. 1.0083 is the elevation factor applied.

This first section shows the status of your account, including payments made since your last bill and your new balance.
BREAKDOWN OF NATURAL GAS COST
This section indicates the cost of the natural gas you have consumed and applicable taxes, as stipulated in Enbridge Gaz’s Conditions of Service and Tariff:

– The monthly fixed charge is a fixed amount billed monthly to the customer. This amount contributes to cover the customer service costs such as, meter readings and emergency responses.

– The delivery charge corresponds to the costs incurred in order to ensure the delivery of natural gas from Enbridge Gaz to your home. This includes management costs and ongoing maintenance fees of the distribution system in order to ensure safe and reliable natural gas delivery to your home.

– The transportation charge represents the cost of transporting natural gas from Western Canada to our distribution system. We bill this service at the same price as what we pay.

– The gas supply charge corresponds to the market commodity price of natural gas and compressor fuel. The price fluctuates according to market supply and demand. We bill you the commodity price of natural gas and compressor fuel at the same price as what we pay.

– The cost adjustment may include adjustments for gas supply, transportation and delivery, depending on which items you purchase from Enbridge Gaz. The cost adjustment may be a refund or a charge to reconcile the difference between what the distributor forecasted and what it actually paid for the components that are passed on to customers without any mark-up.

– The charges for the purchase of Carbon Emission Allowances are taken from the Government of Quebec’s Regulation respecting a cap-and- trade system for greenhouse gas emission allowances and will be used to fund measures to reduce the province’s greenhouse gas emissions.

This third section details the fees for other services offered by Enbridge Gaz to which you have subscribed as well as applicable taxes. It also shows monthly rental or purchase installment payments, and the monthly Budget Billing Plan (BBP) amount.
